ANIMATOR


Summary

As an Animator, you will work on various types of projects, from creating content for console games and content for AR/VR to content for interactive installations and attractions; we promise you will never get bored! Responsibilities vary based on the project, and we strive to place you on projects that play to your strengths while giving you room to grow your skill sets. This position is open for either remote or on-site.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver work in accordance with the artistic direction of the project.
  • Work alongside the other departments and disciplines to understand the Design and the Engine limitations and deliver the best functional animations possible.
  • Animate characters, cameras, or objects are used for real-time or pre-calculated sequences.
  • Integrate animations to the game while ensuring technical constraints are met.
  • Deliver animatic and quick draft animation to proof the idea.
  • Produce final, high-quality animation from scratch, pre-designed draft or motion capture footage.
  • Participate in the creation and realization of in-game animations.
  • Follow the quality standards, the aspects of the game, and respect the deadlines.
  • Share your experiences and help the less experienced members of the team.


Requirements

  • Knowledge of a 3D package — Maya.
  • Enthusiasm and desire to work in the game development industry.
  • Have a good understanding of animation principles — timing, weight, and staging.
  • Good knowledge and experience in keyframing and executing convincing, realistic, well-timed animations.
  • Good rigging skills, understands all aspects of character rigging and skinning.
  • An understanding of Unreal/Unity content integration and implementation pipeline.


Physical Requirements

  • Be able to be physical by bending, stooping, and twisting.
  • Reaching above and/or below the shoulder.
  • Handling/grasping documents or office equipment.
  • Sitting for extended periods of time.
  • Clear speaking and adequate hearing are sufficient to communicate effectively and respond appropriately in person and/or on the telephone.
  • Vision sufficient to read source materials and computer screen data.
  • Repetitive motions for computer equipment use.
  • Work is performed primarily in an office environment using standard office equipment. 
  • Must be able to lift and carry or otherwise move 25 pounds occasionally.
