Summary
As a Lead Art Manager, you'll develop, lead and build out the core group of artists that will develop the 3D assets for our game with our custom ECS-based engine written in C++. You will design and implement content pipelines, manage artists, create hero assets and games, and provide critical feedback and mentorship for other artists

Responsibilities
- Provide critical feedback and help mentor artists to expand their skill sets
- Lead and drive projects from start to finish
- Develop, maintain, own, and iterate on content pipelines
- Model, texture, rig, and animate assets
- Assist in designing games, user-facing features, and content tools
- Maintain consistent aesthetic and technical quality across all areas of development
- Model stylized hero assets
- Create and maintain a wide range of materials within our custom ECS-based engine.
Requirements
- Strong portfolio with examples of realistic works 3D (AAA).
- Knowledge of 2D and 3D graphics software.
- In-depth knowledge of the tasks required to produce a AAA video game.
- Good knowledge of modeling techniques; to create graphic assets expected on a project.
- Solid understanding of texture mapping and material.
- 2+ years of game industry experience with the equivalent title
- Experience mentoring artists and helping them in their desired career growth
- Shipped game experience utilizing Unity or equivalent 3d engine.
- Strong understanding of Unity, Maya and/or Blender
- Knowledge of color theory and the ability to create balanced and appealing color palettes
- Comfortable and familiar with version control
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable working in fast-moving, ambiguous development environments
- Ability to onboard and work remotely

- Experience in shipping a game on PC/browser
- Willingness to travel as needed

That studio is creating a custom game engine. Their goal is to have the game playable via a browser, and it is a matter of seconds until you are in-game. The game is a unique exploration, survival, and discovery mechanics in which players can own entire planets, evolve and upgrade them to increase their value, and invite friends to play with them.
